Adding Value to a Comprehensive List of Trade Show Requirements

With a history of successful collaboration, KARL STORZ came back to Exhibit Network with another unique project.

  • KARL STORZ approached Exhibit Network, their exhibit house partner, with detailed specifications for a portable demonstration unit
  • Exhibit Network offered a number of solutions to their challenge and, together, developed the best solution
  • The completed demo unit is now traveling the country with easy configuration, portability, storage, and loading and unloading.

The Challenge:

KARL STORZ – the leading endoscope manufacturer – offers systems for human and veterinary medicine and industrial applications. Endoscopes, instruments, devices, and camera systems from KARL STORZ have stood for tradition, advanced technology, and quality for more than 70 years.

After completing a successful project with Exhibit Network, KARL STORZ returned with another unique project and presented preliminary specifications for a portable demo unit:

  • Split the unit into two levels, to separate the lighting between the top and bottom
  • Use 8U rack for equipment
  • Hinged doors
  • Compact, cannot be larger than 30” in depth and width
  • Needs a shipping crate with the ability to store the touch panel and display piece separately
  • Cutouts for front wall plates
  • All equipment on the top will be non-functional
  • A computer will be placed on one of the levels
  • Need blue lighting to highlight the product
  • Logos are blue and to be backlit
  • The bottom is opaque white, except for logos
  • All sides of equipment on top level are visible
  • A lock on the unit

The Solution:

After a few back-and-forth emails to narrow the possibilities, Exhibit Network was ready to receive the equipment from KARL STORZ to finalize the dimensions and begin production. The completed demo unit features the following:

  • A quick-release mount for the detachable monitor
  • A designated area in the crate for the monitor
  • Laminate finish
  • LED lighting
  • Flush mount power receiver on the back
  • 180-degree lockable hinged door
  • Space for computers and other items inside the cabinet
  • Soft rolling no-mar locking wheels for portability
  • Customized crate with a ramp for easy loading and unloading
When the demo unit was complete, it was shipped to KARL STORZ to begin its multiple journeys across the United States.
